Over My Head was opened in 1998 in Upper Arlington as a beautiful space to help women look and feel a little
more normal when they need it the most. Bethany Golden purchased Over My Head in January 2007 after being
inspired by her mother, Bonnie Ritchie, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002. The boutique has evolved
tremendously and is now located in The Bing Cancer Center at Riverside Hospital. Bethany continues the same
tradition of excellence of headwear and has added Rachel Brown, CFm to her team of post-cancer specialists.

The ladies at Over My Head pride themselves in carrying the newest and best technology in hair alternatives,
post-breast surgical products and fashionable yet functional merchandise. They offer a licensed salon room in which
volunteer barbers or cosmetologists can provide head shaving services. Over My Head works very closely with many
surgeons and oncology offices in order to achieve the best benefits for their patients. The boutique is a Medicare
certified, American Board of Certification accredited facility and network contracted with all major medical
insurance companies.

Meet Bethany Golden

PRESIDENT & CFm

Bethany graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science
in Textiles and Clothing in 2002. While in college, she specialized in designing
fashionable and functional dresses, lingerie and swimwear for mastectomy
patients. Bethany's mom, Bonnie Ritchie, was diagnosed with breast cancer
at the age of 39 and underwent a bilateral mastectomy. Although her mom
handled her life and cancer with dignity and grace, it was very difficult.

Bethany saw room for great improvement in cancer aesthetics. Bethany
bought Over My Head January 1st, 2007. After moving the boutique to
The Bing Cancer Center, Bethany became a Certified Mastectomy Fitter in
September 2013. Bethany specializes in medical hair-loss, fitting wigs and
hairpieces.

Meet Rachel Brown

CFm

Rachel graduated from Otterbein College in 2009 with a degree in English
and a minor in Sociology. Her work with medical equipment in general began
in 2011, and her compassion for women battling breast cancer quickly drew her
to specialize in post-mastectomy care. Owner, Bethany Golden hired Rachel as
a Certified Mastectomy Fitter in 2012 and together they launched the breast
care portion of the boutique.

Rachel takes pride in working with many high quality mastectomy-wear
manufacturers to ensure patients have a wide variety of beautiful bras to
choose from. She has also been a custom breast prosthesis specialist since
2012 and has worked closely with American Breast Care to offer this high-tech
service on site. Whether a client has had a mastectomy, breast reconstruction
or lumpectomy, Rachel is a fervent believer that every woman can feel
symmetrical, confident and beautiful following her surgery! She works
passionately to help each and every client achieve this.

Meet Michele

Michele was originally trained at the London School of Makeup in 1988. When
she came back home from England, she did two internships. One at Pittsburgh
Light Opera, the other at Houston Grand Opera. She went on to work for a wig
and makeup company called Elsen Associates. She traveled for them doing wigs
and makeup for various Opera companies across the United States. Then she
decided to stay in one place, and moved to Columbus, Ohio where her family
lived.

Since then, she has been a freelance makeup artist/hair stylist for commercial
photography, and theater. Currently, as well as working at Over My Head, she
is the Wig and Makeup Designer for Opera Columbus. She is also a local union
member for the wig and makeup departments of the traveling Broadway Shows

really enjoys helping people look and feel beautiful. As, she knows how
important it is because she is a seven year Breast Cancer Survivor!
